Location and Directions

MCLB Albany is in southwest Georgia, in the Albany area. The main gate is off Fleming Road and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Johnson Road gate and truck gate have limited weekday hours. Base maps and directions are available at the main entrance from Marine Corps Police Department personnel.

Visitor Information

The Visitor Control Center is on Fleming Road at Building 3010, outside the front gate. It handles visitor passes, vehicle registration, Common Access Card and identification-card services, and DEERS services. Appointments are required. Visitors should bring two valid, unexpired state- or federal-issued forms of identification. Confirm current access rules with the center or your sponsor before traveling.

Housing and Lodging

Liberty Military Housing provides family housing on the installation, but applications go through the Housing Referral Office. The office is at 12036 Putnam Boulevard and can be reached at (229) 639-5962, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Single service members in grades E-1 through E-5 live in installation barracks. There is no temporary lodging facility aboard the base, so people in transit should arrange off-base lodging.
