Scott Air Force Base is in St. Clair County in the Metro East region of Illinois. The Shiloh and Belleville Gates are the main entry points. The Shiloh Gate is reached from Siebert Road, and the installation is next to the Shiloh-Scott MetroLink station.

Visitor Information

People with base access need a current military identification card. Visitors need a sponsor and must get a pass at the Dixon Visitor Center, located at 10 Siebert Rd. Visitors must show REAL ID-compliant identification, such as a state driver’s license or passport, and vehicle registration. A criminal background check is required.

The Housing Referral Office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Scott Inn is open all day and night and serves eligible temporary-duty personnel, people moving to Scott, active-duty and retired personnel traveling in the area, and some visitors with military members. A limited number of pet-friendly rooms are available with vaccination records and possible extra fees.

Schools and Childcare

Children in base housing attend Mascoutah Community Unit School District 19. Scott Elementary serves prekindergarten through grade 5, Mascoutah Middle School serves grades 6 through 8, and Mascoutah High School serves grades 9 through 12. Two Child Development Centers provide weekly and hourly care for children from 6 weeks through 5 years, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Full-time care requests go through MilitaryChildCare.com. Medical Services

The 375th Medical Group provides care for eligible local beneficiaries. It is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and supports the TRICARE West Region. The clinic is not open on weekends, federal holidays, wing down days, or training days.
