Location and Directions

NAS Key West is on Boca Chica Key in Monroe County. It also has annexes in and around Key West. From Key West International Airport, turn left on South Roosevelt Boulevard, turn right on U.S. 1 at the second light, and take the right ramp just before Mile Marker 8. The ramp is marked “Naval Air Station Next Right.”

From mainland Florida, take U.S. 1 south through the Florida Keys to Mile Marker 8 and use the same ramp. Newly arriving personnel with orders should first report to Boca Chica Field. There is currently no base transportation on the installation.

Visitor Information

The Visitor Center and Pass and ID office are at the NAS Key West Main Gate on Saratoga Avenue, Building A-641, Boca Chica Field. It is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and is closed on weekends and holidays. Call 305-293-2806 before traveling to confirm current access, identification, and escort rules.

Housing and Lodging

NAS Key West offers privatized family housing and help with housing in the local community. Unaccompanied housing may include barracks or local-community housing, based on assignment status and pay grade.
