MCAS New River is on U.S. Highway 17, about 4 miles south of downtown Jacksonville. From I-95 north of the area, take I-40 East, then Highway 24 East toward Jacksonville and continue on Highway 24/258 and Highway 17 South to the main gate.

From near Florence, South Carolina, follow Highway 76/301 East, Highway 76, Highway 11 North, Highway 53, Highway 24, and Highway 17 South. From Albert J. Ellis Airport in Richlands, take Airport Road to Highway 111, then continue to Highway 24 and follow the Jacksonville-area directions.
