Location and Directions
Joint Base Andrews is in Prince George's County, Maryland, in Camp Springs. It is about 10 miles outside Washington, D.C. From I-95 or I-495, take Exit 9, follow the loop, and turn right at the stop sign. Turn right onto Allentown Road, then turn left at the next traffic light to reach the Main Gate.
To reach the Virginia Gate from southbound Suitland Parkway, take Route 5 South, also called Branch Avenue. Exit onto Coventry Way, turn left, then turn right onto Old Alexandria Ferry Road. Turn left onto Virginia Avenue and continue through the Virginia Gate.
Visitor Information
Joint Base Andrews is a closed installation. The Visitor Control Center processes visitor passes, short-term guest access, DBIDS or long-term access, and other access requests. Visitors generally need a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or another accepted ID. Department of Defense ID cards are also accepted.
