Arnold Air Force Base is in Middle Tennessee near Tullahoma, Manchester, and Winchester. The installation is in both Coffee and Franklin counties. Visitors should use the Arnold Main Gate and stop at Pass and Registration or the Visitor Control Center for a visitor badge, base map, and directions. No base transportation is available. Active-duty personnel, retirees, dependents, and other approved users may need more identification or access processing. The Visitor Control Center is next to the Arnold Main Gate and is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; it is closed on federal holidays. The center provides Department of Defense RAPIDS identification-card services during its established hours on a walk-in basis. Firearms must be registered on base. Housing and Lodging

Wingo Inn provides temporary recreational lodging at 4176 Westover Road in Tullahoma. Call 931-454-3051 or 931-454-6084. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and closed Sunday. It has pet-friendly rooms.

Facilities and Services

The base Exchange is in Building 125 on von Karman Road; call 931-454-7153. The commissary is at 125 von Karman Road; call 931-454-7249. Arnold also has a fitness center, library, post office, and medical aid station. The Eglin Military & Family Readiness Center provides family support at 850-882-9060, Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The post office is in the AEDC/Mail Center, Building 685, on Second Avenue. It offers many mail and package services, but it does not offer post-office boxes, stamps or money orders, or acceptance of all PCS possessions. Arnold AFB has no chapel or assigned or attached chaplain.

Schools and Childcare

School-bus service is available to the Tullahoma School System. Arnold AFB does not provide on-base childcare. Families can use Military OneSource and local Tennessee childcare resources to look for off-base care.
