Location and Directions

The 140th Wing is headquartered at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, in Arapahoe County. From Interstate 225, take Exit 9 for 6th Avenue and CO-30, then drive east on 6th Avenue. The base is on the right after about 2.8 miles. For the 6th Avenue gate, use 18500 East Sixth Avenue, Aurora, CO 80011. Mapping apps can use S. Vail Street and E. Mississippi Avenue, or E. Mississippi Avenue and Aspen Street, for the Mississippi Gate.

Visitor Information

Visitors must get a base pass. The Visitor Control Center is at 1140 Aspen Street and is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is closed on weekends, holidays, and designated base down days. Visitors who need a pass prepared ahead of time should send an AF Form 128 to 460SFS.VCC.VCC@us.af.mil at least 72 duty hours before the visit.
